How Does a Liquid Filling Machine Work?
A liquid filling machine draws liquid from a bulk supply tank or hopper via a feed pipe. The operator can set precise fill volumes, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
The two most popular methods are volumetric filling and vacuum filling. Volumetric filling uses a piston within a cylinder and a valve arrangement to displace liquid to a predetermined volume, whilst vacuum filling creates a vacuum which consequently draws liquid into the bottle to a predetermined height. The two videos below explain the principle.

Once the containers are filled, they move to the next stage – typically cap placement and sealing – as part of a fully integrated bottling machine system.
