Bleach Filling Machines

Reliable, corrosion-resistant filling for sodium hypochlorite and other aggressive bleach formulations — built in the UK to handle what standard stainless steel machines can’t.

Bleach is one of the most demanding liquids a filling machine will ever handle. Sodium hypochlorite attacks stainless steel and degrades seals, shortenening the life of badly specified equipment.

Universal Filling Machine Company has been designing and manufacturing liquid filling machines in the UK for 50 years, and our bleach filling machines are specified from the ground up for this environment — glass and PVC contact parts in place of stainless steel, and construction that’s built to last in continuous chemical production.

Whether you’re filling household bleach into 500ml trigger bottles or industrial sodium hypochlorite into 25-litre drums, we can specify a machine — semi-automatic or fully automatic — to match your exact production line.

Corrosion-Resistant Construction

Every machine we specify for bleach uses glass and PVC contact parts in place of standard 316 stainless steel, eliminating the corrosion and chlorine staining that destroys conventional filling equipment.

Sodium hypochlorite will attack stainless steel over time — even grades normally considered chemical-resistant.

Rather than offering a generic “anti-corrosion” machine, we build to the specific liquid: glass cylinders and PVC wet parts on machines like the PB5000, and the same approach carried through to our automatic Posimatic range when specified for bleach.

It’s a different specification of machine, built correctly. Built to last.

Scalability

A semi-automatic machine today doesn’t mean semi-automatic forever. As demand grows, a bottle handling module — conveyoring, gating, nozzle dive — can be added to your PB5000, upgrading it into a fully automatic Posimatic EV5000.

It’s a key part of our engineering philosophy: protect your original investment while giving you a clear path to production-line speeds.

The Posimatic EV5000, specified with glass cylinders and PVC wet parts, delivers continuous inline filling — ideal for bleach and other corrosive liquids.

Frequently asked questions about bleach filling machines

Can your machines handle sodium hypochlorite without corroding?

Yes. Our bleach filling machines use glass and PVC contact parts instead of standard stainless steel, which sodium hypochlorite will corrode and stain over time.

This construction is specified at build stage, not added as an afterthought.

What's the difference between your semi-automatic and automatic bleach fillers?

The PB5000 is a semi-automatic, single-operator machine suited to lower volumes or businesses scaling up production. The operator places containers, initiates the filling cycle (normally by pressing a foot-pedal switch) and removes the containers after filling. The PB5000 is available with 1 or 2 filling heads.

Our Posimatic automatic range, also available with glass/PVC construction, is built for continuous, higher-speed inline filling. It has an in-built conveyor and gating system, and is commonly supplied with 4 or more filling heads for increased output

Can you supply a complete bleach bottling line, including capping?

Yes. Our range of automatic capping machines can handle screw caps, ROPP caps, and tamper-evident closures commonly used on bleach containers, and integrates directly with our filling machines to create a single inline filling-and-capping system.

What container sizes can your bleach filling machines handle?

From small 500ml consumer trigger bottles up to 25-litre industrial containers, depending on the machine selected. Tell us your container range and we’ll specify the right machine and nozzle configuration.

Are your bleach filling machines made in the UK?

Yes. All our machines are designed and manufactured at our facility in Ashford, Kent, and can be supplied with full documentation. We’ve been doing this for 50 years, with customers in more than 80 countries.
